For children and teens

What we see children for

Our main areas are rhinitis and respiratory problems, growth and early puberty, and tics, ADHD and sleep.

Rhinitis, frequent colds, respiratory

Blocked nose that disturbs sleep, repeated colds, sinusitis and middle ear infections.

Growth, early puberty, childhood obesity

Children shorter than their peers, early signs of puberty, and weight management during growth.

Tics, ADHD, sleep

Eye blinking and throat clearing, concerns about attention, night terrors and bedwetting. EEG and autonomic nervous system tests are used alongside.

Atopic dermatitis, hives, skin

For children who cannot sleep because of itching, we look at the constitution as well as the skin.

Poor appetite, digestion

Children who eat little or often have stomach aches. Digestion is where growth starts.

Weight management

From childhood and teenage obesity to adult and postpartum weight management, tailored to the constitution.

AIJOA FAMILY · Adults and families

Adults are welcome, with or without children

From parents who come with their children to adults with their own health concerns. You may come with your child or on your own.

Diet and weight management

Instead of extreme diets, we look at constitution, eating habits and sleep, and plan how to keep the weight off afterwards. Postpartum weight care considers breastfeeding and recovery.

Rhinitis and respiratory

We check the nasal lining together with constitution, digestion and sleep, and use herbal medicine, nasal Chuna and lifestyle changes.

Digestive discomfort

Indigestion and irritable bowel symptoms. We look at eating habits and stress, and refer to blood tests when needed.

Neck, back and joint pain

Acupuncture and pharmacopuncture for neck, shoulder, back, knee and ankle pain, with herbal medicine when needed.

Sleep and autonomic nervous system

Difficulty sleeping, waking often, palpitations or ongoing tension. An autonomic nervous system test is used to check the state of tension.

Skin and hair loss

Recurring itching, hives, dermographism and hair loss. We look at sleep, digestion and stress along with the skin and scalp.

Doctors

Two doctors see every patient themselves

"We treat each patient as we would our own family." From the first consultation to the end of treatment, the same doctors are in charge.

How we work

What we check because we treat children

Tests to confirm, a short start to see how it goes, and support that continues while taking medicine.

1Doctors see you themselves

Both doctors handle every case from the first consultation to the end of treatment. The first consultation is given plenty of time.

215-day short prescription first

Before full treatment, a 15-day short prescription lets you check how your child responds to and adjusts to herbal medicine.

3Blood tests alongside

Blood tests, including liver function, can be done before and after taking herbal medicine to check the body's condition.

4EEG and autonomic nervous system tests

For tics and sleep problems, EEG and autonomic nervous system tests are used to look at emotional and psychological factors too.

5Herbal medicine from an external dispensary

Herbs tested for heavy metals and pesticide residue are prepared in a sterile external dispensary and delivered to your home.

FAQ

Questions from
international families

If your question is not here, call us or send a message on KakaoTalk.

Can I be seen if I don't speak Korean?

Please call or message us on KakaoTalk before your visit to check language support. Coming with someone who can interpret, or using a translation app, helps the consultation go smoothly.

How do I make an appointment?

Call 031-374-9775, message us on KakaoTalk, or book on Naver Booking (Korean only). Bookings are confirmed by a phone call from the clinic. Booking is required on Saturdays.

From what age can children take herbal medicine?

We see children from infancy. The amount and form (taste and type) of herbal medicine are adjusted to the child's age, weight and condition, and treatment starts with a 15-day short prescription to check the response.

What if my child won't take herbal medicine?

We adjust the form and taste so it is easier to take. If liquid decoction is difficult, it can be changed to granules, a paste or pills, and we explain how to give it. If you have trouble during treatment, contact us on KakaoTalk.

Can adults come without children?

Yes. You may come with your child or on your own. Adults are seen for weight management, rhinitis, digestive discomfort, neck, back and joint pain, sleep and autonomic symptoms, and skin and hair loss.

Where do I park?

Use the parking tower in the building (floors 1 to 8). If you park on the 4th floor, where the clinic is, you can walk straight in. A parking ticket is issued for your visit.
